We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and passionate about patient education and preventive care.
Responsabilities
- Perform comprehensive dental hygiene procedures including prophylaxis, scaling, root planning, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits to foster lifelong healthy habits.
- Assist with chairside procedures in both general and pediatric dentistry settings using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and comfort.
- Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Review documentation for accuracy, update medical coding as needed, and support the dental team with documentation review and record management.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice.
- Proven experience in dental office settings, with familiarity in both general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and record keeping.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and patient assessment confidently.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about oral health practices.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and medical records management.
