Pay Rate: $18.00–$22.00/hr
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire (conversion after 6 months)
Job Description:
A leading aerospace manufacturing company in Signal Hill is seeking an experienced Assembler to join their production team. This company specializes in precision aerospace components and assemblies and is looking for candidates with hands-on assembly experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. The ideal candidate will have experience installing aerospace hardware and mechanical components while maintaining high quality and safety standards. This position requires the ability to read work instructions, use hand tools, and perform precision assembly work in a production environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install rivets, nut plates, bushings, bearings, gang channels, and various fasteners according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Assemble mechanical and structural components to required specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, drills, rivet guns, torque wrenches, and measuring devices.
- Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work orders.
- Verify proper fit, alignment, and functionality of assembled components.
- Inspect completed assemblies for quality and conformance to specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Assist with other assembly and production tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in aerospace, aviation, mechanical, or manufacturing assembly preferred.
- Experience installing rivets, bearings, bushings, nut plates, and aerospace hardware.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Experience working to AS9100 or similar quality standards.
- Knowledge of torque specifications and hardware installation procedures.
