POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an energetic, motivated individual to join our warehouse team as a Lumper. You will unload packages, materials, and pallets from arriving trucks and prepare all items for distribution and storage in our warehouse. This is a physically demanding position, and you need a keen eye for detail and a self-starting personality. Our ideal candidate has worked in a warehouse and has experience with loading, packing, and trucking. Experience as a forklift or pallet jack driver a plus. You must be able to stand, lift heavy items, and crouch for several hours a day.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sort and segregate items per pallet into appropriate Ti/Hi
- Palletizing products
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Transporting all products and materials.
- Verify products, quantities, and order numbers correctly.
- Move freight safety throughout the warehouse.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Operation reach truck.
- Stacking products throughout warehouse as needed.
- Put away pallets from the receiving dock.
- Transporting product safely through the warehouse.
- Storing pallets on warehouse shelves.
- Maintaining clean, orderly workstation-returning supplies and merchandise to assigned locations
- Adhere to all workplace safety guidelines
- Maintain a safe and organized loading/unloading area
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent,
- Basic math skills required
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have very strong urgency in meeting objectives and deadlines.
- Requires the ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form.
- Ability to complete tasks under standardized situations with occasional variables.
- Ability to work independently.
- Great communication skills.
- Must have previous experience driving reach trucks and pallet jacks.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and position: up to 20 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
- Must be able to constantly bend, reach above shoulder, grasp objects, climb, kneel, squat, twist and stand throughout shift.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 150 lbs. occasionally
- Confident and comfortable operating equipment at heights up to 30 feet
- Regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, or controls.
