Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, portioning, and assembling ingredients to support chefs and kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness of food prep areas, including counters, sinks, storage spaces, and floors, ensuring a hygienic environment.
- Support catering and banquet events by preparing food items and ensuring all serving ware is ready for service.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to expedite service during busy hours and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
- Help with general kitchen duties such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and organizing storage areas.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of basic food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices.
- Experience with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, or plating is a plus.
- Familiarity with catering or banquet settings enhances your ability to support large events efficiently.
