Field Sampling Technician
NAVANA Labs Gallagher has a need for a Field Sampling Technician to operate a company vehicle to collect samples and deliver them back to our facility.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a company vehicle and may participate in sample preparation to ensure correct composition for analysis. Sampling Technician will work either night shift or day shift.
Hourly Rate: $16/hr
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Safely operate a company vehicle on highways and mine property
- Collect samples according to SOPs using automated collection equipment and manual sampling equipment used to comprise gross sample
- Accurately complete laboratory documentation such as sample Chains of Custodies, recording location, weight of samples, etc.
- Safely transport samples from sampling locations to the laboratory
- Prepare samples, by safely operating laboratory equipment consistent with company SOPs
- Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure sample integrity and quality control
- Recognize and report any sample issues
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving history
- Safety-Sensitive Certificate with proof of receiving the 24-hour MSHA training
- Experience operating a company vehicle for business purposes
- 40 hour service card preferred
- Capable of prioritizing tasks to meet goals and ensure product quality
- Good knowledge of Microsoft programs and internal software systems
- Willing to meet on-call obligations if required
- Ability to communicate effectively over the phone, over the radio, and in emails
- Physical strength to lift 50 lbs
- Motivated individual that has ability to work alone or in a team setting
- Experience preferred but not required
