Position Overview
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Insurance Specialist to join our team at the Illinois Hammer Injury Law Firm. As a Health Insurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in handling health insurance claims on behalf of our clients, ensuring that all claims, liens, and related insurance matters are properly opened and managed in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:

Claim Processing:Open and manage health claims with Medicare, Medicaid, and private health insurance carriers by utilizing health insurance portals, telephone communication, and email correspondence.

Lien & Ledger Follow-Up:Monitor and obtain outstanding health insuranceliens, ledgers, and claim information through timely follow-up.

Documentation:Complete and submit required forms, questionnaires, authorizations, and supporting documentation to insurance and subrogation providers.

Case Review:Analyze case files to gather necessary information and identify missing documentation needed to process claims.

Communication & Case Management:Maintain accurate case notes and communicate professionally with insurance representatives and internal team members to ensure timely claim resolution.
Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with insurance companies and clients.

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process and document claim information.

Experience inhealthinsurance claims processing or related field preferred.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff.

Proficiency in using insurance websites and phone systems to navigate claim processes.
