Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and organized Office Administrator to support the daily operations of our home care and home health agency. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a home care or home health setting, be highly organized, and be comfortable managing multiple administrative tasks in a fast-paced office environment.
This is an in-office position. Remote work is not available.
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally.
- Greet clients, staff, and visitors.
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties.
- Maintain patient and employee records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Assist with scheduling caregivers, clinicians, and office appointments.
- Prepare, organize, and file agency documents.
- Communicate with physicians, referral sources, clients, and staff.
- Assist with processing physician orders, care plans, and other agency documentation.
- Support compliance with agency policies and state/federal regulations.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate electronic records.
- Assist management with special projects and day-to-day office operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a home care and/or home health agency is required.
- Knowledge of home care/home health terminology, documentation, and office workflows.
- Proficient with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Professional, dependable, and customer-service oriented.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative education is a plus.
- Candidates who are bilingual (English/Spanish) are a plus
Requirements
- Reliable transportation to and from work is required.
- Must be punctual and maintain regular attendance.
- Ability to work in a professional office environment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
