Position Overview: The Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing their own portfolio and developing strategies to recover overdue payments, focusing heavily on business-to-business (B2B) collections through extensive phone outreach. This role requires UCC collections experience and creative workout solutions to negotiate repayment plans and resolve disputes effectively
Responsibilities:
- Heavy Phone Work: Engage directly with clients to recover outstanding payments and negotiate repayment arrangements.
- Develop Collection Strategies: Create and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts, using creative workouts and tailored repayment plans.
- Oversee B2B Collections: Monitor accounts, negotiate payment terms, and resolve disputes to ensure timely payments and smooth cash flow.
- Utilize UCC Collections Expertise: Apply UCC collections experience to manage secured debts and ensure compliance with collateral agreements.
- Resolve Billing Disputes: Collaborate with billing and customer service teams to address complex billing challenges.
- Manage Escalations: Handle escalated cases, including skip tracing, legal filings, repossessions, and charge-offs.
- Track Performance: Prepare reports on collections metrics, payment statuses, and account trends for senior management.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements, including BSA and OFAC.
- Identify Process Improvements: Continuously evaluate and refine processes to improve efficiency and recovery outcomes.
Educational Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-10 years in collections, with B2B collections experience and UCC collections knowledge.
Skills:
- Proficient with Google Suite and collections software; experience with CRM or ERP systems preferred.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills to drive decisions and optimize collections strategies.
- Comfortable working in a high-call-volume environment with multiple accounts and tight deadlines.
- Exceptional negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am-6pm (Onsite)
Pay: Starting at $65,000 + Performance Driven Monthly Bonus
