Overview
We are urgently seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team and provide exceptional support to individuals in need of personal care and assistance. As a Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for your clients in various settings including home health, assisted living, nursing homes, and group homes. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts or resident’s personal equipment
- Monitor patient vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately to inform care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen
- Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and prescribed schedules, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols
- Support patients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer’s or dementia through memory care techniques and personalized engagement strategies
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ quality of life in group home or assisted living environments
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning patient areas and common spaces regularly
- Follow established care plans developed by healthcare professionals, collaborating with nursing staff or social workers as needed
- Assist with transportation for appointments or community outings while ensuring patient safety during transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s <PERSON>
Qualifications
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and HIPAA compliance
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care is highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or disabilities requiring direct support is advantageous
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting or assisting with transfers using Hoyer lifts or other equipment
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and provide compassionate patient support
- Familiarity with care plans, patient monitoring protocols, and social work principles related to senior or hospice care is a plus
