American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level II NICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience, including delivery attendance and ventilator management, on a 13-week night shift contract in Washington state.

6-bed Level II NICU within a 131-bed Level III Trauma Center
-
Patient population includes neonates 34 weeks and above, feed/growers, ESC, IV ABX, CPS holds, bili babies, and higher acuity patients who are stabilized and transferred out

Diverse patient population frequently requiring language interpretation, supported by in-house translators and computer-assisted translation

12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week

EMR: Epic

Floating to L&D for deliveries, baby catching/receiving, or newborn care as needed
-
No on-call requirement (voluntary only)

Teal scrubs are provided by the facility

Active WA RN license or compact RN license required (pending license with proof of application may be accepted)

Current BLS and NRP certifications required; STABLE certification preferred

Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required

Strong IV skills required
-
Experience assisting with central line placement (UAC, PICC, UVC) required
-
Ventilator experience required (note: jet ventilation experience is not applicable to this role)

Experience with NAS care including eat/sleep/console treatment and morphine weaning required

Familiarity with Bubble CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and neo-puff required

APGAR scoring experience required

Experience attending deliveries, newborn receiving, baby catching, and stabilization required

At least one supervisor-level professional reference required for consideration (charge nurse, manager, director, or above); a second reference will be required prior to start

Responsibilities include direct bedside care for Level II NICU patients, delivery attendance, newborn stabilization, and NAS management
