We are currently seeking a Part-Time Activities Assistant to join our Resident Services team. This position plays an important role in creating engaging experiences that enhance the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual well-being of our residents.

✔ Part-Time Position (16 hours a week)
✔ 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (2 days a week)

As an Activities Assistant, you will help create engaging programs and experiences that support residents' physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual well-being.
Responsibilities include:
Assist with planning and leading daily activities, programs, and special events
Encourage resident participation and engagement in community activities
Build relationships with residents through group programs and one-on-one visits
Assist residents with attending activities and provide support as needed
Document resident participation and maintain accurate activity records
Complete required documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Assist with planning new programs based on resident interests and preferences
Help maintain activity spaces to ensure they are welcoming, organized, and ready for use
Support resident mail distribution and other community engagement activities
Monitor resident needs, preferences, and participation while communicating concerns to leadership
Work collaboratively with nursing, dining, and other departments to support resident experiences
Maintain awareness of resident dietary restrictions and individual needs
Attend training sessions and maintain compliance with organizational standards
Perform other duties as assigned

High School Diploma/GED required.
At least one years’ experience in providing therapeutic recreation services in a long-term care facility with the elderly preferred.
Experience caring for residents with Alzheimer’s and/or dementia.
Knowledge and experience working with senior communities in a long-term care facility.
Computer literacy.
Must present self in a professional manner.
Must possess concern, responsiveness, and tact when dealing with colleagues, residents and their families.
Must be able to work collaboratively with others to help colleagues to achieve respective goals for creating wellness opportunities and experiences for our residents.
Must have completed or be willing to complete educational requirements imposed by State regulations within the specified time frame.
