- Perform barbering services with precision using straight razors and maintain high standards of sanitation and safety.
- Utilize salon software systems like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client information, and process retail sales efficiently.
- Provide personalized consultations to understand client needs, recommend suitable hair care products, and upsell retail items to enhance their experience.
- Lead front desk responsibilities by greeting clients, managing bookings, and ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Mentor junior stylists and team members through training sessions on techniques such as hair threading, makeup application, and color theory.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards across all workstations and tools to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Foster excellent client communication by actively listening to preferences, explaining service options clearly, and building lasting relationships.
Experience
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong background in hair styling, coloring, and grooming services.
- Demonstrated proficiency with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms.
- Extensive knowledge of hair care products, hair extensions, nail care, makeup application, and retail sales techniques.
- Skilled in barbering techniques including straight razor shaves and precision haircutting.
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols specific to cosmetology practices to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to mentor team members effectively and engage clients confidently.
- Experience working in a fast-paced salon environment with a focus on customer service excellence and retail upselling strategies.
