Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of academic advisors and advisor seniors within the assigned Meta Major, providing guidance, oversight, and support to ensure consistent advising practices and effective execution of departmental processes.
Advise and support students by providing accurate guidance on degree requirements, course selection, TSI placement, academic planning, student success strategies, use of degree audits, and referrals to appropriate campus resources, while maintaining complete and compliant records.
Coordinate, implement, and track advising initiatives developed by the Associate Director or Senior Director, ensuring advisors within the Meta Major understand goals, complete assigned tasks, and meet established expectations, and report progress accordingly.
Support training and onboarding of new advisors through shadowing, process guidance, cross-training, and serving as the primary point of contact for advising-related questions, technology use, and procedural consistency.
Collaborate and communicate with academic departments, campus partners, students, parents, faculty, and administrators, representing the Undergraduate Advising Center professionally and utilizing advising technologies to advance student success and retention efforts.
Other duties may be assigned to this position on a regular or occasional basis to respond to the needs of the university.
