Job Title: General Manager – High-Volume Gastropub
Location: Baton Rouge, LA - The Overpass Merchant
Compensation: $55,000–$65,000 (based on experience)
About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead a high-volume gastropub with a strong bar program and a focus on elevated casual dining. This is not a sit-in-the-office role—you will be actively involved in daily operations, team development, and driving performance on the floor.
What You’ll Own:
- Full P&L responsibility (labor, COGS, controllables)
- Hiring, training, and developing management and hourly teams
- Driving sales, guest experience, and operational standards
- Managing scheduling, inventory, and cost controls
- Leading from the floor during peak service
- Maintaining a strong culture of accountability and hospitality
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience as a GM or AGM in a high-volume restaurant/bar ($2M+ preferred)
- Strong bar knowledge (craft cocktails, liquor cost control)
- Proven ability to manage labor and hit financial targets
- Leadership presence - someone staff respects, not just likes
- High standards with the ability to coach and develop others
- Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays
