Job Summary
Suzanna’s Kitchen is a medium sized manufacturer with two facilities and growing in national distribution of fully cooked/frozen food products in Norcross, GA (North Metro Atlanta area). We are looking for a proactive and reliable Licensed Wastewater Operator to join our environmental services team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining wastewater treatment facilities to ensure the safe and efficient processing of water. The ideal candidate is hands-on, enjoys working with heavy equipment, and has a solid understanding of water treatment processes. We have an opening in 2nd shift and in 3rd shift.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment, including pumps, filters, and chemical feeders, to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections of pipelines, tanks, and treatment units to identify issues and perform necessary maintenance or repairs.
- Manage heavy equipment operation safely during plant maintenance or construction activities related to wastewater infrastructure.
- Perform water quality testing and record data accurately to comply with environmental regulations and standards.
- Assist with the installation, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems involved in wastewater treatment processes.
- Support pipeline maintenance tasks such as cleaning, flushing, or replacing sections as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy lifting, chemical handling, and equipment operation to maintain a safe work environment.
Experience
- Experience working with wastewater treatment system operations.
- Mechanical knowledge related to pumps, valves, motors, and other heavy equipment is essential.
- Familiarity with pipeline systems and their maintenance procedures is a plus.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate machinery used in wastewater treatment plants.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on troubleshooting mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
- Willingness to learn new techniques related to wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure maintenance.
