Job Summary
Food Basket International is seeking a dependable and motivated Shift Supervisor to oversee daily store operations during assigned AM or PM shifts. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading team members, providing exceptional customer service, ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards are met, and maintaining efficient store operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations during assigned shift
- Lead, coach, and support team members
- Open and/or close the store following company procedures
- Ensure outstanding customer service at all times
- Assist with scheduling and employee break coverage
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies
- Handle customer concerns professionally
- Perform cash handling, register balancing, and deposits when required
- Assist with merchandising and promotional displays
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support hiring and training of new employees
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail, grocery, or supermarket supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Frequent bending, reaching, and stocking
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Retail sales: 2 years (Preferred)
Shift availability:
- Day Shift (Preferred)
- Night Shift (Preferred)
