Position Overview
A manufacturing facility is seeking a Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to oversee the movement of materials throughout the facility while leading a small warehouse team. This position is responsible for ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, inventory management, and shipment of materials while maintaining a safe and organized operation.
The successful candidate is a proactive leader who enjoys working on the warehouse floor, solving operational challenges, and continuously improving warehouse processes. This role offers a combination of leadership, logistics coordination, inventory management, and hands-on operational support.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Leadership
- Lead and support daily warehouse operations, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse personnel while promoting accountability and teamwork.
- Organize daily priorities, assign workloads, and provide guidance to meet operational objectives.
- Foster a positive work environment focused on continuous improvement, safety, and customer service.
Shipping & Logistics
- Coordinate outbound shipments to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Schedule transportation with third-party carriers, including LTL, full truckload, and local delivery providers.
- Optimize freight utilization by planning efficient loads and delivery routes.
- Monitor shipment status and resolve transportation issues as they arise.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation for both domestic and international shipments.
- Evaluate freight options to balance service levels and transportation costs.
- Assist with loading activities and provide operational support during peak periods, including occasional weekend coverage when required.
Receiving & Inventory Management
- Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and shipping documents.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through the company's ERP or warehouse management system.
- Ensure materials are stored correctly, labeled appropriately, and easily accessible.
- Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and routine audits.
- Maintain warehouse organization, material flow, and storage locations to maximize efficiency.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused warehouse environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safe material handling practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, inventory accuracy, and overall operational efficiency.
- Work closely with Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Operations to support business objectives.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives designed to enhance productivity and service levels.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, warehouse operations, and transportation coordination.
- Experience working with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across multiple departments.
Preferred Experience
- Manufacturing or industrial warehouse experience.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Continuous Improvement, or Kaizen principles.
- Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments.
- Familiarity with freight optimization and carrier negotiations.

Schedule: Fulltime Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend support based on business needs.
Pay: $53,000.00 - $77,000.00 per year
