Overview
Join our dynamic security team as a Flex Agent and play a vital role in creating a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for guests at high-profile events including award ceremonies, concerts, proms and private gatherings. Your professional presence will help manage crowd flow, control access, and respond swiftly to any situation that arises. We also offer retail, fine dining, concierge, and residential security positions. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in fast-paced, high-energy environments while utilizing your security expertise and people skills.
Duties
- Monitor entrances and exits to control guest access, verify credentials, and conduct bag checks in accordance with event protocols
- Manage crowd flow and direct guests to their designated areas to ensure a smooth and organized event experience
- Patrol event venues including perimeters, parking areas, and restricted zones to identify and address potential security risks
- Respond promptly and professionally to disturbances, altercations, or emergencies including medical situations requiring CPR or first aid
- Enforce venue and event policies related to prohibited items, guest conduct, and restricted areas with professionalism and tact
- Collaborate with event coordinators, venue staff, and law enforcement to ensure seamless event security operations
- Maintain detailed incident logs and communicate effectively via radio with the security team throughout the event
- Provide a visible, welcoming presence that deters misconduct while ensuring guests feel safe and respected
Qualifications
- Valid Security Guard Card required
- Proven experience in security, crowd management, event staffing, law enforcement, or military service highly desirable
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Sexual Harrassment Prevention Training
- Strong ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in high-pressure or high-crowd environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse guests including minors, VIPs, and event staff
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended shift durations
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays as most events occur outside standard business hours
- Reliable transportation to various event locations required
