Duties
- Operate forklifts and other power tools safely to move materials and finished products throughout the facility
- Use measuring instruments and interpret technical drawings to ensure precise assembly and quality standards
- Assist with mechanical assembly tasks, including manual handling of heavy components and using hand tools for detailed work
- Follow manufacturing documentation accurately to track production progress and maintain compliance with quality protocols
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting solutions in line with lean manufacturing principles
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace adhering to strict safety standards in production areas
- Collaborate with team members on the assembly line, managing tasks efficiently to meet production targets while ensuring safety protocol adherence
Experience
- Previous factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred, demonstrating familiarity with production environments
- Hands-on experience with warehouse operations, including managing inventory and using warehouse management systems
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, power tools, and measuring instruments is essential
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly processes, interpreting technical drawings, and using hand tools effectively
- Experience in managing or supporting production or assembly teams is advantageous
- Understanding of safety standards in manufacturing environments, including lean manufacturing practices and process improvement methodologies
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks confidently while maintaining attention to detail
