We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Accounting Manager with substantial expertise in real estate accounting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, small-to-medium-sized business environment, possesses exceptional analytical skills, and is committed to long-term growth within our organization. This position reports directly to the owner.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and maintain accurate journal entries and general ledger integrity.
- Process and monitor all incoming and outgoing financial transactions.
- Manage and maintain loan payments, amortization schedules, and escrow funding.
- Accurately allocate expenses across multiple residential and commercial properties within the portfolio.
- Perform comprehensive reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Assist with tax preparation, documentation, and year-end reporting.
- Primary support for financial audits and internal accounting processes.
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality of all financial records.
- Perform all other related accounting and financial duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of accounting experience required.
- Proven real estate or property management accounting experience is required.
- Demonstrated history of stable, long-term employment is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of core accounting principles.
- Experience with account reconciliation, financial reporting, and tax support.
- Proficiency with accounting software is required; Yardi experience is highly preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Schedule: Monday- Friday 9am-5pm
Pay: $85,000.00 per year
