Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including food prep stations, cooking equipment, and storage spaces, following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dishes promptly to support smooth restaurant operations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, ovens, and other appliances.
- Handle food products safely during manual handling processes, including lifting heavy items and proper storage techniques.
- Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Support catering and banquet events by preparing large quantities of food and assisting with setup and breakdown as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food handling, or restaurant service environments.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices and kitchen health & safety standards.
- Skilled in operating various kitchen equipment with attention to safety protocols.
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in basic culinary techniques.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper manual handling procedures.
- Experience in catering or banquet settings is a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of food safety management systems and sanitation procedures.
