We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Engineer specializing in Heavy Civil Construction to join our team. Below is an overview of the responsibilities for the Project Engineer for Heavy Civil Construction.
Responsibilities
- Implement project quality control plans
- Interpret drawings and specifications, perform quantity calculations and material takeoffs
- Develop weekly look-ahead schedules to help the Superintendent stay ahead of project work
- Field surveying and layout alongside our crews
- Prepare work plans and schedule material deliveries
- Maintain project records, including daily reports, photos, and job cost data
- Support change orders and as-built documentation
- Learn cost tracking and scheduling from project managers who will train you to run your own work
- Learn, collaborate, and innovate on each project
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- 1-2 years of U.S. Based heavy civil experience (internships and co-ops count)
- Able to read and work from construction drawings
- Willing and able to work on project sites away from home for extended periods
- Authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future without employer sponsorship
- A plus, not a requirement: dam, hydro, tunnel, or geotechnical project exposure; EIT certification; survey or layout experience; an internship with a heavy civil or underground contractor.
Travel

Pay: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
