Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist organizes and conducts medically prescribed occupational therapy programs in the hospital and outpatient clinics to restore function and prevent disability following physical or mental disease, injury, or loss of a body part; helps patient reach his/her maximum performance and assume a place in society while learning to live within the limits of his/her capabilities.
Essential Functions
- Moves throughout the facility, appropriately assists in emergency drills and performs the physical requirements needed to deliver services as assigned.
- Develops treatment plans and provides occupational therapy to customers based on orders from appropriate providers in the hospital setting as well as in the clinic.
- Maintains a positive relationship with customers and develops a positive perception of the hospital.
- Prioritizes tasks in a changing work environment.

Education
Completion of Accredited Program in Occupational Therapy - Required
Experience
1-3 Healthcare/Medical - Occupational Therapy - Preferred
Certification & Licensures
State of Ohio Occupational Therapy Licensure - Required
BCLS certification -Required (May be obtained during orientation period)
NBCOT - preferred
