Duties
- Greet clients warmly, check in and out dogs efficiently while maintaining a positive, professional demeanor
- Manage appointment scheduling, reservations, and client inquiries via phone, email, or in person
- Assist with dog handling during drop-off and pick-up, ensuring proper animal restraint and safety protocols are followed
- Maintain cleanliness of the front desk area, lobby, and kennels to uphold hygiene standards
- Support staff with basic pet care tasks such as feeding, grooming, or administering medication if trained
- Handle heavy lifting of supplies or equipment necessary for daily operations
- Document pet information accurately and update client records to ensure seamless communication
Experience
- Previous experience working with animals is highly preferred, including dog handling, kennel experience, or pet sitting
- Veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a plus, especially familiarity with animal restraint and care procedures
- Knowledge of dog training techniques or pet grooming can enhance your effectiveness in this role
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience with animal care procedures such as veterinary assistance or kennel management is advantageous
