Overview
The Director of Social Services plays a pivotal role in leading and managing social service programs aimed at enhancing the quality of life for individuals. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive social service programs tailored to meet the needs of individuals.
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, residents and families to enhance service delivery.
- Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and outcomes.
- Provide guidance on behavioral health issues, ensuring that services are holistic and client-centered.
Experience
- A degree in Social Work or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience in program management within social services or related sectors in a skilled nursing envirnoment.
- Strong background in behavioral health services is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively, with experience in supervising staff.
- Excellent relationship management skills to engage with diverse populations and stakeholders.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks including budgeting, reporting, and compliance monitoring.
