This position will support Prescott’s Inc. and can be located in Monument, CO, Kansas City, MO or remote.
We're looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to serve as the central point of contact for our company's leased and owned vehicle fleet across all portfolio business divisions, ensuring vehicles are acquired, allocated, maintained, and retired safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. This position will manage day-to-day operations with fleet vendors, and provide dotted-line support to business unit leaders for field service operations. As Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for establishing key performance indicators regarding Vehicle Utilization, Fuel, Maintenance, Safety and Route Efficiency in order to drive operational improvements.
Responsibilities:
Fleet Acquisition, Allocation & Disposal

Establish vehicle selection criteria and standardize make/models across the business

Manage the disposal of vehicles, ensuring a smooth transition and adherence to applicable regulations & policies

Track lease expirations, mileage overages, driver usage patterns, maintenance costs, and related fees to plan cost- effective vehicle replacements

Coordinate transport, delivery, and storage of new and existing vehicles with fleet vendor
Driver Management & Safety Compliance

Develop and implement driver-facing training materials on safety and fuel-efficient driving, fuel cards, mileage reporting, maintenance, and rental procedures

Verify drivers are licensed and authorized, and run MVRs for new hires and annually for current drivers

Develop and maintain the company's Vehicle Use Policy

Establish required safety inspection intervals and monitor driver compliance
Fleet Maintenance & Vendor Management

Set vehicle maintenance schedules and monitor driver compliance in completing service at authorized shops

Negotiate discounted rates with repair vendors by leveraging the company's fleet volume

Manage fleet vendor agreements - tracking renewal terms and service levels

Monitor and respond to fleet vendor alerts (maintenance thresholds, lease/registration renewals, oil changes, settlements, citations/tolls)
Accidents, Claims & Insurance Administration

Establish and maintain accident reporting protocols to ensure accurate documentation and prompt notifications

Serve as primary contact for the insurance broker, submitting claims for all divisions
Fleet Systems & Data Administration

Own fleet management platforms, leveraging telematics to optimize technician dispatch, routing, and windshield time

Monitor fuel card usage for anomalies or misuse and track fuel efficiency trends by vehicle and driver
Budget & Reporting

Manage fleet budget and monitor expenses (acquisition, fuel, maintenance, insurance, etc.)

Establish recurring fleet KPI (cost per vehicle/mile, accident rate, utilization, fuel efficiency, etc.) and drive measurable cost improvements
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- 3-5+ years of experience in Fleet Management or a related Operations role, ideally within a multi-site or PE-backed organization

Working knowledge of fleet management platforms and fuel card programs
- Familiarity with motor vehicle record (MVR) requirements and driver safety compliance standards

Experience negotiating vendor and repair contracts, driving cost savings and improved service for internal customers

Excellent communication skills, serving as a point of contact for drivers, vendors, and stakeholders

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for recordkeeping and data accuracy across systems

Ability to manage multiple priorities, balancing proactive planning with reactive issue resolution

Must have a clean driving record

Must pass a background check and drug test prior to starting position
