We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Assistant General Manager to join our retail management team. Duties
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory control, and cash handling.
- Lead and supervise team members, providing guidance, training, and development to foster a high-performing environment.
- Oversee customer service standards to ensure a welcoming atmosphere and resolve escalated issues promptly.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing, onboarding, and employee orientation processes.
- Manage merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize sales opportunities.
- Coordinate purchasing activities, inventory management, and POS (Point of Sale) system operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and other administrative tasks to maintain operational excellence.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent communication abilities in multiple languages; bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee orientation, training & development, and interviewing techniques.
- Proficiency with retail tools such as POS systems, inventory management software, and retail math calculations.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of cashiering procedures, cash handling protocols, and store safety standards.
