Responsibilities
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, literacy education, math, physical education, and other core subjects.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that support children's social-emotional growth.
- Provide individualized child development instruction, including early intervention techniques and special education accommodations when necessary.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, discuss concerns, and promote active involvement in their child's learning journey.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child welfare and incident reports.
- Conduct classroom activities that promote childhood development, including toddler care routines and preschool teaching methods.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid and CPR protocols, ensuring health standards are met consistently.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including daycare or preschool environments.
- Certification as a Child Development Associate (CDA) or equivalent credential; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of child development principles, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, standardized testing, and teaching physical education or math to young children.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to implement inclusive practices for children with special needs or requiring early intervention services.
- Valid first aid and CPR certification; willingness to stay current on health and safety standards.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.26 per hour
