Job Summary
Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Part-Time Warehouse Sorter, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our operations running smoothly! In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently sorting, loading, and unloading shipments, ensuring that materials are accurately handled and properly stored. Your proactive approach will support seamless order fulfillment and contribute to the overall success of our distribution center. Responsibilities
- Sort incoming and outgoing shipments with accuracy using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Load and unload materials using pallet jacks, clamp trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment following OSHA safety standards
- Pick orders efficiently by utilizing <PERSON> pick systems and order picker equipment to meet daily shipping targets
- Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks safely for materials handling and transportation within the warehouse
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including verifying inventory counts and documenting movement of goods
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by properly stacking pallets and managing materials on the warehouse floor
- Support warehouse supervisors in implementing safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or shipping & receiving environments preferred
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks is highly desirable
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy machinery use
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse management systems is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout shifts
- Experience with order picking using RF scanners or similar technology
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work efficiently in a team setting
