Thriving Minds Health Services, Corporation is looking for a responsible Cognitive Therapy Assistant to aid group sessions with our older adult clients. At TMHS, you will help provide quality services to a diverse population and work with our team of clinicians to uphold our mission and philosophy of care. We provide treatment to traditionally underserved populations that is strengths-based, evidence-informed, and client-centered. As a Cognitive Therapy Assistant, you will be working with our clinical staff to provide structured group cognitive rehabilitation therapy to older adults.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Preparing materials and documenting relevant notes for activities and recreational programs.
- Keep clients engaged and encourage client participation.
- Participate in meetings to discuss client progress.
- Driving to group homes and engaging with our older adult clients.
- Lead and motivate clients in various cognitive exercises.
- Cognitive Therapy Assistant will work closely with the clinical team in implementing individual care
Requirements
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older, have a valid US Driver’s License, and dependable means of transportation.
- High school diploma (preferred Bachelor's Degree).
- Proof of full COVID-19 Vaccination.
- Ability to work with and resolve confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
- Must have current First Aid and/or CPR Training or be able to obtain within thirty (30) days of employment.
- Available Monday-Friday 9 am - 5 pm.
- Experience in working with the elderly (preferred).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with the elderly.
- Ability to use personal vehicle to transfer to group homes. (Gas Reimbursement).
