Position Summary
The Senior Process Improvement Professional is a senior individual contributor within the Business Process Management (BPM) Department responsible for leading complex, cross-functional process improvement and reengineering initiatives across the credit union. This role designs and drives enterprise process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and BPM methods, partners with leaders to implement sustainable change, and ensures consistent process documentation and governance standards. The position also mentors others and contributes to BPM program maturity by advancing standardized practices, performance measurement, and continuous improvement capabilities.

The role also mentors department leads and process owners who are managing improvement initiatives within their areas, assisting them in prioritizing work, defining objectives, business requirements, and success measures, and guiding stakeholders through the BPM and continuous improvement process.
Base Annual Salary Range: $79,100 - $101,745 per year
The posted range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position, with final compensation determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
Essential Duties:
- Enterprise Process Improvement Leadership
Lead the analysis and redesign of high-impact, cross-functional processes and deliver measurable improvements in cost, cycle time, quality, and risk.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Influence
Build alignment, influence decision-making, and partner with leaders to resolve complex process challenges and drive outcomes.
- Process Design & Facilitation
Facilitate current-state analysis, root-cause identification, and future-state design to ensure scalable, compliant, and effective solutions.
- Governance & Standards Alignment
Apply and advance BPM frameworks, standards, and documentation practices to ensure consistency, quality, and enterprise alignment.
- Change Management & Adoption
Drive successful implementation through communication, training, and readiness activities to ensure sustained adoption of process improvements.
- Data-Driven Improvement & Technology Enablement
Leverage analytics, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance process performance and enable scalable improvements.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
- Advanced knowledge of Business Process Management (BPM), Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable continuous improvement methodologies.
- 4-6 years of related experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or enterprise transformation roles.
- Experience working with senior leadership and influencing decision-making on complex initiatives.
- Experience applying project management practices to structure, plan, and execute process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- Experience contributing to process frameworks, standards, or enterprise initiatives.
- Experience in banking, credit union, or regulated financial services environment.
- Proficiency in process modeling tools (e.g., Visio or equivalent).
- Lean, Six Sigma or BPM certifications.
