Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, OpenStack, and Azure.
- Automate deployment processes through tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Terraform, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines to streamline software releases.
- Monitor system health with tools like New Relic, Splunk, Elasticsearch, and log analysis techniques to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Manage container orchestration platforms including Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift to support microservices architectures.
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems across distributed systems involving Linux administration, Windows Server environments, network configurations (TCP/IP, DNS), and enterprise software like WebSphere, Weblogic, JBoss.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies are in place for critical systems to minimize downtime during incidents or outages.
- Collaborate with development teams on requirements gathering for new features and assist in software development using languages such as Java, Python, Ruby on Rails, Go, Groovy, Perl, C#, C++, PowerShell, Bash scripting.
- Lead incident response efforts by diagnosing root causes and implementing corrective actions swiftly to restore service continuity.
- Participate in system testing and validation to uphold software quality assurance standards throughout the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).
Qualifications
- Proven experience with cloud computing platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure or OpenStack.
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for deploying scalable applications.
- Hands-on expertise with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet or Chef for configuration management and deployment automation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Shell Scripting (Bash), PowerShell or Perl for system automation tasks.
- Familiarity with enterprise middleware such as WebSphere Application Server or Weblogic Server.
- Experience managing databases like MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server or DynamoDB with skills in SQL/T-SQL/PL/SQL for data querying and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP), DNS management and firewall configurations for secure IT infrastructure operations.
- Understanding of microservices architecture principles and RESTful API integrations within distributed systems environments.
- Ability to implement high availability solutions ensuring minimal downtime during incidents or maintenance activities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on debugging complex issues across diverse platforms and services.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams practicing DevOps automation principles to accelerate software delivery cycles.
