American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with pediatric critical care experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at a children's hospital Level II trauma center.

Pediatric respiratory therapy unit at a Level II trauma center with a Level IV NICU and 153 total beds
-
Patient population includes pediatric patients ages 1 week to 18 years, including a moderate-sized Cystic Fibrosis population, chronic trach/vent patients, and cardiac surgery patients
-
Cardiac program serves patients who have undergone open-heart procedures ranging from PDA repair to TOF repair
-
Active ECMO program with use of specialized gases including Nitric Oxide and Heliox
-
Procedures include critical care ventilator management, NIV (CPAP/BiPAP/HHFNC), ABG via GEM analyzer, and delivery of respiratory medications and therapeutic interventions

EMR: Epic (required)

12-hour night shifts, 1900–0730

36 hours per week

Every other weekend rotation required

Floating to ER, MedSurg, Oncology, and PICU
-
No on-call required
-
Current certifications: BLS, PALS, and RRT
-
WA state Respiratory Therapist license required (must be in hand or have proof of application submitted 6+ weeks prior)

License required if applicable

Minimum 1 year of PICU experience within the last 5 years

Experience with respiratory disease management in the pediatric population

Epic EMR experience required

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Two supervisor-level references required (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, or above); one reference may be submitted initially with a second required prior to start

Preference given to candidates with 1+ year of experience in a Pediatric Cardiac ICU
-
Scrubs of any color are acceptable; maroon and spice/burnt orange tones are not permitted
