1 year of hosting experience required
Schedule
- Weekend availability required, on rotating basis
- Lunch shift availability preferred, on rotating basis
- Dinner shift availability required, on rotating basis (4pm - 8-9pm)
Host / Hostess Duties & Responsibilities
- Warmly greet all guests upon arrival
- Answer phones, manage reservations, and take/relay messages
- Input phone and online orders into POS system
- Process gift cards
- When immediate seating is limited, provide guests with an estimated waiting time
- Take note of where guests are waiting and seat them when tables become available
- Maintain a professional, courteous attitude when confronted with impatient guests
- Accommodate special seating requests for guests whenever possible
- Relay guest notes to servers, kitchen and managers as needed
- Ensure the front of the restaurant (entrance hallway/doors) are clear of trash, swept and windows are clean.
- Clean menus of food and stains
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant, closing and opening as directed
- Assist with packaging takeout orders accurately and efficiently for pickup or delivery
Job Performance and Pay
- Hourly pay
- Raises are frequently given to those who show exceptional job performance and improvement.
- Hourly Wage: Hosts can expect to earn 8/hour.
** $15/hr is guaranteed by company **
