The Collaborative School has openings for an Education Technician III/Behavior Health Professional to start immediately. These positions will be responsible for implementing special education and behavioral programs with students with emotional and behavioral impairments and Autism. The Collaborative School is a division of The Maine Special Education Mental Health Collaborative and is a Special Purpose Private School licensed by the Maine Department of Education. The Collaborative School specializes in the treatment and education of students in grades K-12 with mental health diagnosis including mood disorders, complex trauma, ASD, and attachment disorders. Staff at The Collaborative School receive cutting edge professional development opportunities in innovative practices and approaches in both mental health and education. Staff are encouraged to advance professionally in the fields of social work, psychology and/or education through advancement opportunities, course reimbursement and future internship placements.
Qualifications: Must have 90 college credits. Must hold or is eligible for State of Maine Ed Tech III certification, and an interest and ability to work effectively with children with emotional disabilities. Behavior Health Professional Certification a plus, however we supply training for BHP Certification if not already BHP Certified.
