Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive Account Manager to grow and maintain strong client relationships within our HVAC and facilities services portfolio. The Account Manager will act as the primary client contact, coordinating service delivery, managing contracts, driving sales opportunities, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. This role requires a blend of technical understanding of HVAC operations, commercial acumen, and hands-on account management skills, including familiarity with BuildOps or similar operations platforms.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, building trusted relationships and ensuring client needs are met.

Coordinate and oversee HVAC service and maintenance activities, working closely with technicians and service teams to schedule work and resolve issues.

Manage account contracts, renewals, and statements of work; ensure compliance with service-level agreements and contractual obligations.

Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities, collaborating with sales to close new business and expand service offerings.

Monitor account performance and KPIs, prepare regular account reviews and status reports for clients and internal stakeholders.

Act as escalation lead for service, maintenance, and operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and proactive communication.

Use BuildOps or similar field service management tools to track work orders, schedules, invoicing, and asset information.

Develop and execute account plans that align with client goals and company objectives, driving retention and growth.

Collaborate with operations, finance, and sales teams to streamline processes, improve margins, and enhance customer experience.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

3+ years of account management or client-facing experience, preferably in HVAC, facilities services, or building maintenance sectors.

Strong technical understanding of HVAC systems, service workflows, and preventative maintenance practices.

Proven track record in managing contracts, renewals, and service-level agreements.

Sales-oriented mindset with experience identifying and closing upsell opportunities within existing accounts.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; able to manage multiple stakeholders and escalate effectively.

Experience with field service or operations platforms (BuildOps preferred) and CRM systems.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
