Botiwalla is inspired by the tea and kabab houses—known as Irani cafés—of Chef Meherwan Irani’s childhood, as well as the grills (sigris) that pop up on the streets of India late at night, serving grilled meats and flatbreads to hungry revelers.

Use role-specific checklists to open, maintain, and close the restaurant for service

Warmly greet guests at the register, answer questions, guide them through the menu, place orders in the POS system, and prepare drinks

Ensure accuracy when processing all cash and credit transactions

Provide knowledgeable explanations and proper pronunciation of menu items; make recommendations

Answer all inquiries related to ingredients, allergens, and preparation with accuracy and confidence

Expedite orders from the kitchen for dine-in, takeout, and delivery
-
Deliver orders to guests and pack takeout orders quickly and accurately
-
Communicate effectively with FOH and BOH teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment

Support the service team by bussing tables, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and managing the register and back counter area, including inventory levels

Track ticket times, monitor order flow, and support pacing of service

Provide exceptional, “mindblasting” hospitality tailored to each guest
-
Maintain a welcoming, friendly, and professional atmosphere

Follow all safety and sanitation procedures

Communication

Participate in pre-service huddles, all-staff meetings, and daily check-ins

Use mobile and kiosk-based platforms for scheduling, training, and communication

Attend bi-monthly all-staff meetings and bi-annual check-ins with FOH management

Provide ongoing feedback to management regarding guest needs and operational efficiency

Positive guest reviews regarding hospitality, service speed, and order accuracy

Positive team feedback on communication, teamwork, organization, and cleanliness

Efficient service execution with minimal errors and smooth operations

Maintain a friendly, approachable, guest-facing presence

Follow all company policies, including dress code, punctuality, and professionalism
