Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment in residential properties following schematics and HVAC design plans.
- Conduct system inspections to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC equipment, refrigeration units, plumbing connections, and appliances.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings to accurately install or repair systems.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs or modifications.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including service reports and system specifications.
- Communicate effectively with property owners regarding system operation, maintenance needs, and safety procedures.
Skills
- Strong construction background with experience in building codes and installation procedures.
- Service technician experience specializing in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and HVAC design plans for accurate installations.
- Mechanical knowledge of refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration, boilers, and appliance repair.
- Field service experience with property maintenance tasks such as plumbing and general equipment repair.
- Familiarity with the use of diagnostic tools like ohmmeters and the ability to perform welding or other mechanical repairs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred for transportation needs. Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
