This contract position is ideal for a Licensed OT in North Carolina eager to make a significant difference during a maternity leave coverage. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week), anticipated to begin as soon as possible and tentatively running through January 31, 2027. As an itinerant OT, you’ll collaborate with multiple school sites, including W.R. Odell, Mary Frances Wall Center, and potentially others in the area.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active North Carolina OT license (please provide a clear snapshot with your application)
- Experience performing school-based OT services, preferably within public school settings
- Proficiency using ECATS or similar educational case management systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with adaptability to work across multiple locations
- Previous experience with IEP development and interdisciplinary team collaboration is desirable
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to support student access to educational programming
- Assess, plan, and implement intervention strategies tailored to individual student needs
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in alignment with school and state requirements
- Travel between assigned schools as needed based on caseload and site rotation
