Join our vibrant educational team as an After School Financial Literacy Teacher, where you will inspire and empower students to develop essential money management skills. This paid position offers a dynamic environment dedicated to fostering financial understanding among young learners. As a key facilitator, you will deliver engaging lessons, manage classroom activities, and support students in building confidence around personal finance concepts. Duties
- Deliver interactive financial literacy lessons tailored to elementary school students, ensuring concepts are accessible and engaging
- Manage classroom behavior and create a safe, respectful environment conducive to learning and participation
- Use various teaching methods, including group activities, to reinforce financial skills such as budgeting, saving, and understanding differences between wants and needs.
- Monitor student engagement and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth and confidence in financial topics
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, participation, and student assessments for program evaluation
- Foster open communication with students to answer questions and clarify financial concepts effectively
Qualifications
- Prefer experience in teaching, tutoring, or working with children
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate diverse learners
- Excellent communication skills for engaging students clearly and positively
- Background in adult education or childcare is a plus, demonstrating flexibility in teaching styles for different age groups
- Prior classroom experience with a focus on financial literacy or related subjects is preferred
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that encourages participation from all students
- Passion for education and empowering youth through practical life skills
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain a CPR certificate
