About the Role
The Construction Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of construction activities supporting the expansion and upgrade of Ripple Fiber’s fiber optic network infrastructure. This role exercises independent judgment and discretion in directing construction personnel, managing project execution, resolving issues, and upholding quality, safety, and compliance standards across all active job sites.
Key Responsibilities
Personnel Leadership & Management

Direct, schedule, and manage construction personnel; delegate tasks and hold crew members accountable to project timelines and quality expectations.

Evaluate crew performance, provide feedback, and make or recommend employment decisions including hiring, disciplinary action, and performance improvement.

Serve as the primary point of escalation for field personnel matters and resolve workforce issues with minimal direction from senior leadership.
Project Execution & Oversight

Oversee all construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in conformance with engineering designs and specifications.

Develop and manage daily and weekly work schedules, coordinating resources across multiple concurrent job sites as needed.

Partner with Construction Managers on project planning, scope changes, resource allocation, and schedule adjustments, exercising independent judgment in identifying risks and recommending solutions.
Quality & Safety Compliance

Conduct regular site inspections to verify adherence to design specifications, construction standards, and housekeeping requirements; document findings and drive corrective action.

Identify and mitigate safety hazards; ensure all personnel comply with applicable health and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE, safe excavation practices, and state-specific 811/One Call utility requirements.

Verify that work techniques meet industry standards and correct unsafe or non-compliant practices in real time.
Customer Relations & Issue Resolution

Manage customer complaints through to resolution, engaging directly with customers as needed and enforcing SLA commitments for contractor-driven remediation.

Represent Ripple Fiber professionally in all field-level customer interactions, protecting the company’s reputation and service standards.
Reporting & Communication

Complete and submit daily production reports, site logs, and other project documentation accurately and on schedule.

Attend and actively contribute to daily site management meetings; communicate progress, risks, and resource needs to Construction Management.
Qualifications

Proven experience supervising construction crews in a telecommunications, utility, or fiber optic environment preferred.

Demonstrated ability to manage personnel, resolve conflict, and make sound judgments in a fast-paced field environment.

Strong knowledge of fiber network construction methods, safety protocols, and utility marking requirements (811/One Call).

Proficient in maintaining accurate field documentation and production reporting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with crews, customers, and management.
