Duties
- Operate dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean cookware, utensils, dishes, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, portioning, and organizing ingredients to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly
- Buss tables and clear dishes promptly during service to ensure a smooth flow for guests
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, boxes of supplies, and other kitchen items safely and efficiently
- Follow strict sanitation protocols to uphold kitchen health and safety standards
- Support food handling practices that meet local food safety management regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
