.Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Direct Support Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, be caring, patient and fun as well as ensuring the well-being of residents in healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to patients following the healthcare facility's policies and procedures
- Assist with patient care activities such as vital signs monitoring and catheter care
- Provide support in home community care settings
- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation
- Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure proper medication administration
-Use Critical Thinking Skills in order to monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to the nursing staff
Requirements- Certification as a Medication Aide preferred but not required. We can train for the 20 Hour Med Aide Certifcate.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Compassionate attitude towards patient care and well-being
CPR and MANDT Training preferred. Can train if needed.
- Autism care background encouraged
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 36 per week
