Part-Time Kennel Technician – Ruby’s K9 Corral
Boutique dog boarding facility seeking dependable part-time help. Located in the Blanchard, Tuttle, Newcastle area (Tri-City).
Flexible morning, evening, and weekend shifts available. May work well around school or college schedules.
Hands-on team environment working with dogs. Duties include:
- feeding and caring for dogs
- cleaning/sanitation
- daily kennel routines
No experience required — we train.

Hours may vary seasonally based on boarding demand.
Must be dependable, comfortable around all types of dogs, and willing to work weekends/holidays as needed.
Requirements
Qualified candidates must:
- Be available for some weekday shifts
- Be able to work weekends and holidays (required)
- Be punctual, dependable, and consistent
- Be comfortable working independently at times with minimal supervision
- Be a team player with a positive attitude
- Be willing to perform daily cleaning duties, including disinfecting kennels, general facility cleaning, and picking up dog waste
- Be comfortable handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Interact professionally with clients and their pets
- Be willing to learn basic grooming skills (bathing and nail trims)
- Have previous work experience (min. 6 months) and reliable transportation
- Work in a drug-free environment
- Genuinely enjoy working with dogs
Position Summary
As a Kennel Technician, you will play a key role in the daily care, safety, and well-being of dogs in our facility. You will assist with animal handling, feeding, cleaning, enrichment, and supervision while helping maintain a clean, organized, and low-stress environment.
This role requires physical activity, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures consistently.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care including feeding, exercise, and basic grooming
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kennel environment
- Safely handle and supervise dogs during play, rest, and care routines
- Observe and monitor dog behavior and health, reporting concerns to management
- Assist with basic training and socialization as directed
- Greet clients, assist with drop-offs and pick-ups, and answer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain accurate care notes and follow facility protocols
- Support a positive experience for both dogs and their owners

Pay: $9.00 - $13.00 per hour
