We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Sales & Service Manager to join our Outdoor Utility Electrical Services team. This role combines technical expertise, customer relationship management, estimating, project coordination, and business development within the electrical construction industry.
Position Summary
The OU Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships, securing service work, coordinating estimates and project execution, and supporting overall department operations. This position serves as a key connection between customers, field operations, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships
- Seek out new business opportunities and service work
- Prepare estimates, proposals, and pricing for electrical projects
- Coordinate projects from estimating through billing and completion
- Collaborate with field operations, electricians, purchasing, and accounting teams
- Conduct sales calls and customer follow-ups
- Assist with staffing and scheduling of service projects
- Monitor project costing, budgets, and profitability
- Support medium voltage and secondary voltage construction projects
- Deliver technical presentations and explain services to customers
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and MIOSHA standards
- Attend customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events
- Assist in developing business growth and marketing strategies
Qualifications Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing medium and secondary voltage work
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction methods and equipment
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Preferred:
- Master Electrician License or Professional Engineering License
- Experience with estimating software (Accubid preferred)
- CDL License
- Medium voltage safety training
- Experience with:
- Pole construction
- Underground primary construction
- Transformers and switchgear
- Stadium/site lighting
- Traffic signal installation and maintenance
- Preventive maintenance programs

- Ability to read blueprints and electrical designs

Work Environment
This position includes both office and field work, with travel to customer and project sites as needed. Candidates should be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and active construction environments.
