The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring all equipment, machinery, and facilities are properly maintained and operating efficiently. This role includes scheduling repairs, preventative maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing maintenance records.
Supervise, train, and coordinate the work of maintenance technicians and staff.
Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
Inspect equipment and facilities to identify and correct unsafe or inefficient conditions.
Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment; order parts and tools as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and regulations.
Diagnose mechanical issues and direct appropriate repairs.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and external service providers.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures and best practices.
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns or repairs.
Prepare reports on maintenance performance, downtime, and equipment issues.
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
3+ years of experience in maintenance, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems.
Proficient in reading technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work across departments.
Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Comfortable working in noisy, hot, cold, or wet environments.
May require climbing ladders or working at heights.
