Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components.
- Conduct ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations and repairs to ensure vehicle safety features operate flawlessly.
- Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold manufacturer standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy equipment mechanics techniques to complete repairs efficiently.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems on diverse vehicle makes, including GM vehicles.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and suspension components.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for accurate troubleshooting.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to perform heavy equipment mechanics tasks such as auto body repair or auto estimating is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive safety standards including air brake systems and vehicle maintenance protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail; ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ASE certifications or equivalent are advantageous.
