Shifts: 1st & 2nd Shift Available
Starting Pay: $24.00/hour + $3.00/hour shift differential for 2nd shift — higher depending on experience
We are hiring experienced Structural Steel Welders and Fitters for a shop-based fabrication role. Candidates with a background in welding, fitting, or both are encouraged to apply.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication specifications.
- Measure, lay out, cut, fit, and assemble structural steel components.
- Perform structural steel welding according to specifications and industry standards.
- Set up and operate fabrication equipment and hand tools.
- Use oxyacetylene torches, plasma cutters, drill presses, angle presses, jigs, tape measures, and squares.
- Set up and operate a track torch when required.
- Inspect materials and finished assemblies for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Previous experience in structural steel welding, fitting, or fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience measuring, fitting, aligning, and assembling structural steel.
- Knowledge of welding techniques, fabrication tools, and shop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, quality work.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Experience with Flux Core welding.
- Ability to pass a Flux Core welding test.
- Experience setting up and using a track torch.
- AWS or other welding certifications are a plus.
