About Escape Room Mystery
Escape Room Mystery is a locally owned, family-run escape room experience in King of Prussia, PA. We provide interactive, puzzle-based adventures for families, friends, corporate groups, celebrations and other events.
We're looking for outgoing, dependable team members who enjoy working with people and want to help create a great experience for every group that walks through our doors.
About the Role
As a Game Master, you'll guide guests through their entire escape room experience—from welcoming them when they arrive to helping make sure they leave having had a great time.
This is an active, customer-facing position. You'll learn our escape rooms, monitor games, provide hints when needed, reset rooms accurately between groups and help keep the location clean, organized and ready for our next guests.
Our Game Masters currently focus on one escape room at a time, allowing you to stay engaged with your group and provide attentive customer service throughout their experience.
No escape room experience is necessary. We provide paid training to teach you our games, systems, guest experience standards and room-reset procedures.
We're especially interested in team members who take pride in their work and are interested in growing with us. Strong Game Masters who are interested may have the opportunity to advance to a Shift Manager role with additional responsibility.
What You'll Do
- Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional and enthusiastic customer service
- Explain game rules and prepare groups for their escape room experience
- Monitor one game at a time and provide clues and hints when appropriate
- Pay attention to the guest experience and help make each group's visit enjoyable
- Reset rooms accurately and efficiently between groups
- Help maintain a clean, organized and guest-ready location
- Adapt to changing situations and solve problems as they arise
- Work independently and as part of a small team
- Take ownership of creating a great experience for our guests and helping the location run smoothly
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, confident and comfortable interacting with many different types of people
- Naturally customer-service oriented and attentive to guests
- Dependable and responsible about assigned shifts
- Self-motivated and able to recognize what needs to be done without constant direction
- Attentive to details and able to follow room-reset procedures accurately
- Calm and adaptable when plans change or unexpected situations arise
- Interested in learning, taking initiative and growing into additional responsibility
Previous customer service experience is preferred but not required. An interest in puzzles, games or escape rooms is a plus.
Scheduling
This is a part-time, on-site position at our King of Prussia location.
We are open seven days a week and build schedules around team members' availability. Most team members work approximately 8–20 hours per week, typically across weekday evening and weekend shifts, but weekday afternoon shifts are also available.
This position can be a great fit for students, people with another part-time job, or anyone looking for flexible work around other commitments. We regularly work around school, college and other commitments when building the schedule. Schedules are based on both employee availability and business needs and are often fairly consistent from week to week.
Our busiest times are evenings and weekends, so regular weekend availability is strongly preferred, particularly Saturdays. Holidays and other busy periods may provide opportunities for additional hours.
We understand that part-time employees may need time off for school, family commitments, vacations and other obligations, and we work with team members on scheduling whenever possible.
