Position Overview
We are seeking motivated, skilled, and dedicated Commercial Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of hands-on experience in TPO and other commercial roofing, with a strong understanding of various commercial roofing systems, equipment and techniques. This role involves working on commercial properties, ensuring that roofs are installed, repaired, and maintained to the highest standards while following safety standards. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively in a team environment. This position requires travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair and maintain commercial roofing systems including flat roofs, sloped roofs, and membrane roofs
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Tear-off, preparation, and installation of roofing materials
- Weld and install TPO membrane and details by hand and with Leister Varimat
- Must be able to effectively use company software and technology
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for roofing tasks.
- Work in an efficiently manner
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment on job sites
- Maintain organized and clean work areas at all times
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies on construction sites.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of roofs to identify issues or necessary repairs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial roofing - 3 years minimum hands-on experience with single-ply systems required.
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks.
- Ability to hand weld and operate Leister welding equipment
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must pass a drug test and background check
- Valid identification and authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must have a valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must be willing to travel
- Verifiable experience and references required
